Product Description
These strops are of the finest quality, the hanger is cast in our own foundry from solid brass and nickel plated, then buffed to a lustrous finish. The strop is a full 3"(76mm) wide x 30"(762mm) long. No-one else offers this size. This width allows you to use straight strokes with no need for the X pattern stroke, although you can if you prefer; and the longer length will allow you to take fewer laps. This is a definite plus in your daily maintenance routine.
THE HANGER RING OPENS TO SNAP AROUND ANY TOWEL ROD, PIPE, BAR, HOOK, HANDLE OR DOOR KNOB, AND WILL SPIN 360 deg., AS WELL AS TIP SIDE TO SIDE.
Premium Horsehide Chromium Tanned: Specially formulated for us ~ extremely soft and buttery ~ fast consistent stropping surface with excellent results.
Suede: Preferred by some, extremely aggressive when loaded with Diamond or Chromium Oxide ~ a matter of preference.

I could not be happier with this purchase. This strop is even more luxurious than my Heavy Duty English Bridal Leather strop. Not to mention much longer. The strop just accepts the razor in such way that the blade seems to burnish itself. Stropping with this is so easy its a treat. The suede is a perfect foil for the leather. You are really shifting gears when you go from the suede to the tanned leather. The hanger ring is the best I've seen, bar none, for quality, functionality, sturdiness and beauty. If you're into the finer aspects of straight razoring, this strop will pleasantly surprise you! I give it -5 STARS-

I've had this strop for almost a year. In fact, the suede wasn't even offered at the time but Jim recommended it and since I'm not a fan of linen, I got it. Wow! Does this thing get the job done. The fancy strops from Europe, I've tried them and this one KILLS 'em! And, no waiting. Had it in hand, across the country in 2 days.
The plated buckle is a piece of art and functional. I always get comments on it from house guests. Because of the length, it's like getting twice the real estate with each pass. (I've taken the measurements and done the math. Easily twice the effective stropping distance) You can either cut your stropping time in half of get twice as much stropping done in the same number of passes.
